I had an interview today

and I know it was the wrong job to go for!  I can't work within groups :(  I will have to turn it down!

Enough of the doom and gloom, I will be renting a room 1 Saturday a fortnight (for a few hours at the moment) at the Tree Room in Colchester from March, I am really looking forward to this and it could be the break that I need.

Please come down and see me on 3rd March between 11 and 5, I shall be handing out flyers at either end of Trinity Street, it would be lovely to see you.

Calendula and Goats Milk, the cut version

Well here it is, still pretty soft in the middle, and I'm guessing the lines are from the Calendula, but it looks and smells great, I like it lots.  My cutting leaves a lot to be desired and this is with a cutting block, oh well, one day I will have a real soap cutter :)

Hi everyone, here is a few more soaps from me

Hope you're all doing ok, it's really cold here at the moment, am sat here huddled in a huge black hoodie :)

 Peppermint tea, Peppermint EO, Lemongrass and Lime FO, can't really smell the latter, but the peppermint is lovely.

Calendula and Goats Milk, will hopefully be cut tomorrow, it's still rather soft, and not my usual recipe, it's from Melinda Coss.

My rebatch of all the odds and ends, my Nan used to eat Brawn (bleugh) and this reminds me of it, smells like Eros (Sensory Perfection FO) rather nice :)

Chinese food tonight, can't be bothered to cook, have a wonderful evening everyone.

Sorry I haven't been about lately

What with my parents being here for nearly 2 fabulous weeks, my Daughter is still home with her hubby, they fly back on Saturday, not looking forward to that :( it's my turn to take them to the airport, I am not stopping as the car parking is extortionate, not that I wouldn't want to see my daughter off, to be honest, it's best as I think she will be very upset this time, she really (they both do) misses home.  Anyway, nearly back to normal, whatever that is.

Bit of a shocker before Christmas though, I have lost my contract therapy job, which I'm totally gutted about, I am also what they call a project worker, and I have lost that job too, I am able to apply for another, but I am not sure which one yet, I have a good idea, but I want to run it past my jobsharer!!

So yeah, Happy New Year to me, what a great start :)

Ok, so on Sunday I made

Lavender Patchouli for my Mum, turned out lovely....

Before I did this I split the batch, as I wanted to make 2 small lb loaves, the lemon and poppyseed crumbles on me like a goodun, the crumbly bits I mushed together and it was like putty, no idea how this happened, anyway I salvaged about 4 bars, they are now hardening well, and smell very good.

Been quite productive today

I made my Mum Lavender and Patchouli soap, I also made Lemon and Poppyseed too.  That will be another post :)

This is what I made this evening, actually made 2, 1 for me and 1 for someone for a Christmas present, pattern from Flossie Teacakes.

I have to send it to my Mum (it's for someone who lives up her way) as I was too lazy to do it while she was here, she has sand at her house (had her garden done) she will fill it with sand, sew the hole up and wrap it for me.  Didn't take long really, am chuffed to mintballs with it.
